Tables Part 4: Enhanced AutoFilter (Part Two) - What's New in Excel 2007

Excel技巧

In the spirit of completeness, Excel 12 also provides the ability to have multiple AutoFilters applied to a range. Previously, this was only possible by defining named ranges, using VBA, or manually reapplying the AutoFilter command. By default, the applied AutoFilters will act like AND criteria. To create an OR AutoFilter, simply hold down the Ctrl key while selecting non-contiguous ranges. In this way, you could define an AutoFilter to show only rows where the value in the A1 cell is "John" OR the value in the B1 cell is "Doe".

In addition to the standard AutoFilter, Excel 2007 also includes an Advanced Filter. The Advanced Filter provides more control over the filtering process, allowing you to specify multiple criteria, including criteria based on other worksheets or workbooks. To use the Advanced Filter, click the Advanced button in the AutoFilter drop-down menu.

The Advanced Filter dialog box allows you to specify the range to be filtered, the criteria range, and the output range. You can also specify whether to filter the data in place or to copy the filtered data to another location.

The criteria range can be a range of cells on the current worksheet or on another worksheet or workbook. The criteria range can also include named ranges.

The output range is the range where the filtered data will be placed. The output range can be on the current worksheet or on another worksheet or workbook.

The Advanced Filter provides a powerful way to filter data in Excel. By using the Advanced Filter, you can quickly and easily create complex filters that would be difficult or impossible to create using the standard AutoFilter.

Here are some examples of how you can use the Advanced Filter:

  • Filter data based on criteria from another worksheet or workbook.
  • Filter data based on multiple criteria, including criteria based on other worksheets or workbooks.
  • Filter data in place or copy the filtered data to another location.
  • Use named ranges to define criteria.

The Advanced Filter is a valuable tool for anyone who works with data in Excel. By using the Advanced Filter, you can quickly and easily filter data to meet your specific needs.
